12/06/07 - BOYZ II MEN FLASH MINI-SITE & MORE!!
If you haven't already, go check out the Boyz II Men Flash Mini-Site we completed with the help of their label Decca Records. We're stoked on how it turned out!
We're also in the process of working on a couple other new sites for Decca, namely a site for Three Graces and One Flew South, both exciting new development projects that look like they are gaining some quick momentum these days!
We've been working wih Nonesuch Records on the new Sam Phillips release.. the package is turning out great and it hsould be hitting stores at the end of February. We're also working with Sam on a bunch of new merch and a new website, so keep your eyes peeled for that..
We've got a bunch of stuff in the works again, so more updates to the site coming soon. for now, it's back to work!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10/10/07 - more new stuff.
lot's of new apparel stuff to go up on the site soon.. The entire new Foo Fighters merch line, new Jason Mraz merch, a new Artus design, Hooves packaging, Mae merch, Brandi Carlile merch, TSQ merch.. a bunch of various work for Decca Records, Jittery Dog Productions, Margaret Cho.. tons of merch / product development for Foo Fighters, Hooves, Jason Mraz, Jimmy Eat World, Liam Sullivan, Margaret Cho, and TSQ.. and we've been doing a bunch of web work these days (check the web section for the most recent updates).
a ton of new stuff in the cooker.. the Boyz II Men "Motown" mini flash site, Three Graces (Decca artist) full website, Sam Phillips album packaging / website / merch, People album packaging, Dave Melillo mini site, and tons more consulting..
needless to say, we're busy. and, if you're an art or marketing student in the LA area, we're looking for an intern in each area to help us grow. so, click contact and send us your stuff already!

07/11/07 - new site. new story.
if you are looking at this news item, it means you are looking at our new site! it was time for a bit of an overhaul, as we have simply grown out of the old "simple" site that preceeded this one. Now, I'm sure there are bugs or glitches. Actually, if you find any, it's uhm.. because of your browser. yeah, that's it. it's not us, it's you. I promise.
with this new site, we are also launching a bold new phase for the uprising. one in which growth is the primary objective.. growth of the company, growth of the client base, and the ever evolving artistic growth we strive for with each new project.
look, we're all about doing great work for our clients, having fun while we're doing it, and making things look pretty. pretty simple. our goal in the years to come is to do that on an ever increasing scale, to reach and touch as many people as we can with these here pixels and colors.
take a look around, check out what we've been up to, and bookmark us. we're constantly adding new projects to the database, with photo and motion projects being next on the list. now it's even easier to click around and explore.
most recent projects? well..
• The Section Quartet - TSQ Website (a co-op project with Billbonk Webdesign, currently in development), TSQ MySpace Page, Fuzzbox album packaging, and all kinds of other odds and ends for their upcoming release on Decca.
• Hooves - Remember that "special footwear project" we mentioned awhile back? Well, Jeff is working with Gravis Footwear to design, develop, and manage a new footwear brand with some suprises up it's sleeve - dope hi-tops for the rock & metal markets.. Check out the simple Hooves Website we developed for more info on that.
• Mirrorball - Darren is still killing it over at Mirrorball doing art direction for their client base (which includes Pepsi, Heineken, Mountain Dew, Dos Equis, and others). but in more special news, is now a proud father of Forrest Butch Rufus Craig (who, being able to design immediately after popping out of the womb, is now on staff full time).
• Silva Artist Management - Jeff just finished an absolutely amazing and fulfilling 2-year tenure over at SAM, leaving to give more focus to the uprising. He is also developing Color Theory Consulting, a consultant service specializing in the development and logistics of music merchandise opportunities in the tour, retail, and special project licensing areas for bands, labels, etc.
• Various Others - not to discount any of these clients by not giving them their own section, we'd just be here for days. We're still working with Chris Shiflet on Jackson United packaging and materials for their upcoming release.. RCEG & Slaymaker Hill for their upcoming release.. Strangler for their upcoming release.. tons of band merch.. and of course a bunch of other irons in the fire that we can't discuss yet.
Thanks, as always, to everyone who's supported us (and continues to support us) along the way. Without the love, respect, and dedication of everyone who's been invoived (both directly and indirectly), we surely would not be where we are today. MUUUAH. ok. we love you. bye bye.

04/15/07 - new additions.
added a few new projects to the site.. new Jason Mraz, QOTSA, Margaret Cho, Fergie, and Black Eyed Peas merch designs. we've also added some RCEG Sampler cover comps we did a little while back for shits and giggles.
also, looks like we may be changing the format of the site.. it feels like we've outgrown this current one a bit, and we're considering switching over to a blog-based site. Let's face it - everyone wants new content straight to the vein these days, rather than periodically updated sites, so why not give the people what they want? more new content.. quicker.. in a format that loads faster.. and is more flexible for our rapidly growing project portfolio. seems like the right move to me.
and keep an eye out for some of our upcomming projects / releases: a GREAT new The Section Quartet cover record coming out in August on Decca / Universal. Really great string quartet covers of Bowie, Radiohead, The Strokes, Muse, QOTSA, and a bunch of other rock bands. we're stoked for this one! And there will be a new Jackson United record coming from our buddy Chris Shiflet soon - most likely 2008, but we're excited about this one too so couldn't hold back.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
04/05/07 - keeping up..
ok.. we aren't keeping up with the news section. sorry.
here are some new project updates:
we finished the Matthew Jordan Website about a month back. Check it out HERE.
the Foo Fighters / Billabong Boardshorts are now available! Go HERE, the Foo Fighters Webstore, to check them out and order a pair for yourself!
let's see.. a bunch more work for peeps like Jason Mraz, Ryan Adams, QOTSA, Mae, The Fray, Foo Fighters, Jackson United, and Beastie Boys that we'll post when we get some "free time".
oh, and all kinds of art direction and special marketing project that we'll show you when they're de-classified. stuff like skate decks, shoes, limited edition clothing lines, kubricks and more that we are REALLY excited about. wish we could tell you about them, but we'd be fed to sea lions I'm sure. soon though.
and i almost forgot.. a bunch of wierd stuff for Pepsi, Moutain Dew, XX, Gravis Footwear and Heineken that we'll post at some point too. ok. i'm tired now. bye bye.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
01/13/07 - happy new year!
it's 2007 already?! crazy! We've added some new stuff to the site, and changed a couple of things.. we felt it was time to break packaging out from the rest of the print items and move the sections around a bit, so check that out. we've also added the new Matthew Jordan digipack package, and we'll be adding some newly completed projects to the fashion section soon. we've also got a lot of stuff brewing for '07, so check back for more details on what we're up to.. packages, apparel, and some great new art projects in the works..
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
09/06/06 - the new site is up! yay!
lots of updates in the fashion and print sections, and a complete site overhaul. it was needed. the rest of the sections will be dialed in over the next week or so, so please be patient. oh, and i bet there are bugs. if you run into one, let me know! i've tried to get most of them out already, but you know how it goes.. enjoy!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11/28/06 - ok. a little busy these past couple months..
darren has been busting ass developing the new Lipstick Bandits 2006/07 line, and it's paid off with a great showing at Market recently, with the line being picked up by Metro Park, Kitson, any many others.. not available quite yet, but soon!
jeff's been busy directing and developing a new Foo Fighters / Billabong co-op surf trunk that will be released in late february '07, the limited edition posters for the Foo Fighters Acoustic Tour, and tons of admat and POP materials for the bands of Silva Artist Management.
and collectively? some comps for +44, merch for The Doors, AFI, Foo Fighters, Brian Ray, Sigur Ros, and a bunch of others.. a bunch of new designs for Artus Clothing that should be released any day now.. and for the last part of 2006, it looks like a Sonic Youth b-sides / rarities LP package, a couple other album & EP packages, more merch for a variety of bands, a couple top secret projects (shh!), and another great holiday package for Open Road Entertainment. busy around here these days.. big thanks to everyone who's trusted us with their projects this year! it's been awesome!
